The Parish Council is looking to replace the existing sports pavilion in Barnes Park with a brand new community sports facility. The existing pavilion is very outdated and is in a very poor state of repair. The proposal is to demolish the current building and replace it with a purpose built pavilion which will provide not only a base for sporting activities, but will also enable a range of other community based activities to be held using the pavilion as a base. The Parish Council is also considering providing public toilets in the Park.
The intention is to fund the new pavilion and the toilets using grant funding, including a grant from the Hasmoor and Grassland Big Local and also section 106 planning contributions. The draft plans for the new pavilion can be viewed via the link below:
